Ginza 1.02 - Rainmeter Skin Update by kin37ik Ginza 1.02 - Rainmeter Skin Update by kin37ik
Ginza 1.02 is finally here after being bogged down with university work.
Excuse the picture cutting off the task bar, i have a 3 screen setup
your task bar will not cut off.

---~~~== WOOHOO WE MADE IT!! ==~~~---
FINALLY!! Ginza 1.02 is here, with some changes and the promised shiny new clock!!

-~= New Additions =~-

+ Shiny new clock i call the Digilog Clock, combining both Analog and Digital into one
For those who like one or the other may now rejoice at the combination! digital clock
is in 24 hour time (I.E: 22:13 is 10:13 PM ect)

+ A newer, Sleeker System Statistics panel with circular meters instead of bars
Those that are fond of the bar meters dont panic, it still exists in the skin
in a much sleeker form which is more pleasing to look at.

+ Added Seconds Counter, AM and PM and Date, Month and Year to the Task Bar Clock.

-~= Changes =~-

+ The Settings/Custom directory Panel has been shrunken in size to make it more pleasing
You now set the custom directories by clicking the blue circles before the text
typing in the full directory and hitting enter, as clicking the text before
was a major hit and miss, now it works!

+ System Statistics panel has been shrunken in size and a new addition of the panel
has been added that uses circular meters, fans of the old Bar type system can
still use the old bar one if they wish, both types have been shrunken in size

+ Tidied up and killed some left over code which was not being used anymore

+ Altered some text to make it a bit easier to read.

-~= Due in Next Update (I Hope) =~-

- Aiming for an RSS Reader
- Aiming for a note taker (somehow)
- Aiming for a Weather Forecaster/current weather outside widget
- Meybe a Media Player controller
- Google Search Box

-~= TUNE IN NEXT TIME, FOR GINZA 1.03!! =~-

First off, this is a visually stunning skin.

The task bar caught my eye immediately.

Unfortunately, however, I cannot set the shortcut for any of the icons. I've tried setting the variables manually already and it correctly change what path shows up in the settings window, though clicking on the actual icons does nothing.

I've tried using Rainmeter 3.1 (beta), 3.0.2, 2.5, and 2.4. In order for the path to actually change in the settings window I've had to change it manually since it doesn't save the filepath when I press enter.

I'm currently running on a Windows 7 64-bit machine.

Any insight would be amazing as I love this skin.

weird, it should be working, im using win 7 64 bit ultimate and havent had a problem, how are you writing your directories in the settings panel??  with the drive letter first and then the full directory to the exe file?
if it updates in the variables file correctly, then you just need to refresh the skin part.

if it isnt updating the variables i will have to investigate why that is and write a patch, i had one or two other people with the same problem before, not sure if they ever resolved it.

Yeah, in the settings panel I begin with the drive letter followed by the full path to the exe file.

I've tried refreshing the skin multiple times after updating the variables file to no avail. The directory in the settings panel states the correct path, though the icon doesn't correspond with the path at all and literally does nothing when clicked on.

The only icon that does anything is the Computer icon.

very strange, ive never had that problem, a large majority havent except for you and one or two other people, im not really sure what causes the problem, ill have to ask a rainmeter developer and see what they think, its a pretty odd issue, hopefully they can give me some advice regarding this problem.

Much appreciated! Thanks for being so quick to reply. I'd honestly rather not give up on this skin since it compliments my wallpaper quite nicely, so I hope things eventually work themselves out.
